It has a 12Gb/s SAS and SATA interface with 4 channels. The card provides excellent performance and speed and supports data backup and recovery. It can be used as the boot device by configuring the booting sequence in the computer's BIOS and setting up the controller's BIOS parameters correctly. You can attach an HDD or SDD to each of the channels directly. The card is compatible with LSI00418 Cache Vault Kit, which is a super capacitor acting as a BBU. However, the card does not come with a cable, so a separate LSI00411 cable may be needed to connect SATA drives directly to the RAID controller without going through a backplane.
