Answer: One board foot equals one square foot multiplied by one inch thick. If you end up with a two inch thick coverage, you will only get 500 sq. ft. out of it. -

What type of foam expands the most?
Answer: The lighter the density of the foam, the more it expands. A foam rated at 1.75 PCF is a common foam with low density. If you can find 1.50 PCF, it would be even more expansive. -

Answer: It works great. When used with new double pane windows and steel exterior doors, it significantly reduces the sound. -

Answer: It depends on the thickness of the foam you need. For example, if you need 4 inches, you would need 1600 board feet. If you need 6 inches, you would need 2400 board feet. Keep in mind that a 1000 board foot kit realistically covers approximately 800 board feet. -

Answer: Approximately 7 R-value per inch.
