"The Night They Raided Minsky's" is a heartfelt comedy that captures the spirit of early burlesque. William Friedkin and the impressive cast recreate the ending of innocence with a side story of coming of age and being shown the ropes of burlesque. Bert Lahr's performance is notable, as it was his last movie before he passed away. Britt Ekland's appearance was too sexy for the part of Rachel Schpitendavel, and her hairstyle was inaccurate for an Amish girl. Although the storyline is fictional, it is entertaining to watch the talented actors make the most of the movie.
