If you sift this using a fine to medium mesh strainer, you will get finer sugar good enough to dissolve in cold liquids with some stirring. Otherwise, buy the ones that say 'superfine' or 'caster/castor' sugar. To make this super-fine (like the ones bartenders use), just whirl it up in a food processor or spice grinder.
