Sorry We Are French Board Games Editorial Review
The Iki board game is a strategic game for ages 14 and up, with a recommended 2 to 4 players, and a playtime of 60 minutes. One reviewer describes how sceptical their gaming group was, but once they started playing, they became fully immersed in the strategic decision-making process the game demands. Another reviewer raves about how much they enjoy playing Iki and emphasizes that it’s appropriate for older children; they played it with a 14-year-old and found that they also loved the game. However, the third review is quite critical, describing the game as poorly designed, with stratagems that are always obvious, unbridled frustration, and not streamlined gameplay. They further criticize the randomness and amount of luck involved in the game, with luck dictating that protection against fires may be unnecessary but vital to a player's game progress.
