The Bluestorm Atmos40 inflatable life jacket is an automatic inflation model, offering 26-40 pounds of buoyancy, depending on the variant. It can't be overridden to operate in manual mode and deploys reliably even in humid and spray conditions. It comes with a CO2 canister that can be used to jerk inflate, after which only oral inflation is possible. The product is easy to clean--remove the CO2 cylinder and bobbin, handwash with warm, soapy water and mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and let it hang dry in a well-ventilated area away from heat or direct sun. The Bluestorm Atmos40 is manufactured in Vietnam at a local factory that meets USCG criteria for UL compliance and annual social compliance audits. On the whole, customers are satisfied with the level of buoyancy, lightweight and comfortable form factor, ease of use, and high-quality Construction of the Bluestorm Atmos40. The visual indicator window works well, and the product is easier to wear than standard, tight life jackets. However, some customers did notice a rubbing issue with the neck and found it hard to find the recharge kit, which is a bit pricey. One customer received a product with an incomplete package without a power cartridge. Another customer found it hard to find the particular model that allows manual-only operation.
