Diamond TV Wonder HD 650 PCI

**** The ATI TV Wonder HD 650 Tuner comes with a mix of commendations and frustrations from users, primarily revolving around its tuner functionality in varying operating systems. On one hand, customers have Consistently noted that the tuner performs excellently with Windows Media Center, particularly on Windows XP. Many express satisfaction with the card's ability to record multiple channels simultaneously without complicated setups once configured properly. However, the experience becomes rocky for those transitioning to newer operating systems, especially Windows 7 and beyond. Users report significant hurdles with software installation, indicating that the original software is not compatible. Many had to resort to manually installing drivers or utilizing third-party software to get the card to function, which diminishes the overall user experience, especially when it means not being able to utilize the software that was intended for use with the product. The remote control’s functionality also leaves something to be desired. While it works well once configured with the right programs, many found the setup cumbersome and technicians recommend using alternative remotes instead. Additionally, customers encountered issues with video capture capabilities, with some reporting that it does not meet expectations or requires additional equipment to achieve satisfactory results. Despite these challenges, the tuner remains a viable option for those primarily interested in its core function—tuning into channels—and who are comfortable navigating technical setups and troubleshooting for more recent operating systems. **
