Answer: I’m in south Texas about parallel to Houston and they are going crazy in my garden as we speak. You have to get them in before the last frost to get blooms though so if you plant them now you can expect flowers next year. -

Instructions for planting?
Answer: First, select a good area that gets some sun, not all day, but some. If you are in a very hot area, you may want to go with a semi-shade area. Dig a hole about an inch deeper than the bulb of your plant. Put some potting soil and plant fertilizer in the bottom, watered that in good and put in the bulb, packing the soil evenly around the bulb and mounding it slightly on top. Then, sprinkle some more fertilizer and water it in good. Spread mulch in the entire area to hold the water. Water the area generously every couple of days. When you get your plant up well, then pull the mulch away from the plant itself.
